10 Things Tuesday
Air Fryers, Bathing Suits, and The Bassinet That Saved Our Sleep
Hi, my loves!! I’ve sooooo been enjoying this 10 Things Tuesday series. It’s been such a fun way for me to share some of the things I use and am trying out, but also my honest thoughts around them. I’ve been asked a lot this week about baby things, but I don’t want to make these 10 things Tuesdays all about babies! I will, however, add the bassinet that saved Parker and I and what I swear had him sleeping through the night at 3 months old to the list.
To be fully transparent, this past weekend was rough for me. I’ve been feeling a bit disconnected emotionally, but one thing that always helps is writing, creating, and meditating. I’ve been centering in more and more into what truly aligns for me, which is never a bad thing.
We should always be evolving, shedding, and growing, even if it’s not always comfortable. When we look at the hard things and face the uncomfortable truths, nothing bad EVER comes out of that. So I just wanted to share that if this is you, you’re so not alone. We’re growing together, even through a screen!
Okay, now that I’ve left you all with a little nugget from my heart, here are my 10 things this Tuesday. I include a lot of kitchen stuff this week, the bassinet that Teddy is officially too big for but saved us, and some clothing articles I’m eyeing for summer.

The Wonder Oven Air Fryer — truth be told, I didn’t discover the air fryer until about 4-5 years ago and was so late to the game. Of course though, I fell in love with it, realizing that salmon, and especially tofu and veggies, can get so much crispier in the air fryer versus the oven. I used to have a Ninja, but about 2 years ago we upgraded to the Wonder Oven, and I’ve never looked back! I love all Our Place appliances, and I use this one at least 2-3 times/week. Most air fryers are lined with teflon, which have PFAS (Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances—a large group of man-made chemicals used since the 1940s to make products resistant to heat, water, oil, and stains) and have been linked to health concerns in high or long-term exposure.
Caraway Home Baking Sheets — speaking of non-toxic bakeware, I swear by Caraway. I use their baking sheets at least every other day, and their muffin tin weekly. Even though I’m using my regular oven, I feel better and safer knowing that the bakeware I’m baking the food on isn’t coated in these forever chemicals that can seep into the food at high temperatures. I use these baking sheets and this large rectangle pan all the time.
Non-toxic Parchment Paper — to add to the above baking items, I never bake directly on the bakeware for easy clean up. I almost always use parchment paper, but did you know that parchment paper can also have forever chemicals including PFAS? This is insane!!! This seems even worse to me because its designed to be non-flammable and actually touching the food directly, so to me this might even more important. I love using If You Care products, but have several rolls of their parchment paper in my drawers and pantries at home for all things baking. It is free of PFAS and chlorine, and is mostly made of recycled materials.
The Snoo Smart Sleeper Bassinet — So, we debated with this one for a while, as it is not considered "Montessori” but honestly, it was the best decision we’ve made. Many will by an Owlet, a sock that monitors oxygen and heart rate, but rolling was my biggest concern in the first 4 months since he wouldn’t able to roll back over. The Snoo straps them down in a way that holds them to their back (seems Medeaval, but it’s really not bad) and gives them room to move their legs while also swaddling them. Later, you can upgrade swaddle sizes and go arms free. It rocks them to sleep with sensors, which I do believe trained him to sleep through the night. He’s been sleeping through the night since 3 months! We are about to transition out of it since Teddy rolls everywhere now, but with MANY friends who are pregnant, this (and a good stroller) are the two purchases I deem highly worth it. 10/10 recommend and would (and will) do again for the next baby. I believe they also have rent options if you don’t want to buy it in full.
KÖPPEN Copper Tongue Scraper — Back onto more wellness things, I’ve tongue scraped for YEARS. I absolutely swear by it, even before I started mouth taping, for better breath and removing toxins from the body. However, I use it every single day and then just lay it on the counter over my retainer…. which is not sanitary!! It’s 2026; I can do better! So I found this KÖPPEN copper one with a beautiful marble holder, and I bought it for myself for Mother’s Day. Plus, copper is one of the most antimicrobial metals in the world, so a bit better than the metal one I was using. It’s beautiful to sit on the counter, and much more sanitary. I’m SO excited to get it in!
Beekeeper’s Natural Throat Spray — An every day use for me!!! I haven’t gotten sick (besides some horrible rounds of mastitis while breastfeeding which was totally unrelated) in years. I didn’t start using this until last year, but when I was breastfeeding it was also passed to Teddy through breastmilk, so I started using it daily. We’ve travelled, I see patients, and I teach multiple yoga classes that are very hands on. I have not gotten sick yet; and while I can’t contribute it to this directly, I do believe this boosts my immune system! I will continue to take it and will also give it to Teddy when he can swallow foods. :)
Primally Pure Citrus Mint Body Butter — I’ve heard of and used Primally Pure for years, when my boyfriend asked me, “Have you heard of this brand?!”. I laughed. He rarely uses lotion, but didn’t fully understand the difference between body butter and lotion, one being much more oily than the other. So when he realized he wanted a lotion and not a body butter, I took this one off of his hands. I looooove to use it on the areas I’m dry, and I love to spread it across my chest/arms/décolletage when I want a little shine. I keep it on my counter and add it when I want a little extra sparkle, and also on my face at night before adding a cold towel over my face.
Quince’s Mongolian Cashmere Cardigan Sweater — okay, now onto some clothing. Butter yellow is all the rage, and now that I have a little color back on me again since it’s not winter anymore, I have been eyeing this cardigan for weeks. I will be buying soon because it screams winter and elegance, but summer in the color. I love a good light weight cardigan for chic sophistication but also that beautiful transition between spring and summer.
Goop’s Bond-Eye Ring Scene Swimsuit — speaking of summer, I will be buying this as well. I have 2 goop swimsuits that I swear by, but I’m obsessed with this color. It feels SO GOOD to be heading into the summer not pregnant, but even if I was (and hope to be next year!) this Goop swimsuit expands to all sizes! I can’t wait to wear it this summer by the pool, but mostly I just love the rings in it. Since it expands, it will likely be light-weight, and again, I’m obsessed with the color.
8 Rules of Love — last on the list is a repeat book that I want to dive back into. I am traveling to Austin this weekend and will be finishing up the last few pages of Strangers (as mentioned in my first 10 Things Tuesday), but also felt called in my intuition to bring this book with me. I’ve read it before, so I feel like a couple of plane rides with Teddy strapped to me reading this will calm my nervous system as a first time mom of a 6 month old flying (wish us luck and will report back!!)
Sending you all so much love this week, and I’ll see you next Tuesday!!
Xx,
B
